SKIN BLEACHING FAQS

Skin bleaching is a process that is desired by many people, both male and female, around the world. It is essentially a process whereby the melanin content of the skin is reduced through the use of various products such as bleaching creams. By reducing melanin, the skin becomes lighter, and some products also get rid of other imperfections such as light scars.

Skin Bleaching Creams are Not Permanent

A common question associated with skin bleaching creams is whether they are permanent or not. The truth is skin bleaching creams do not get rid of the melanin permanently. This is because the skin is constantly being renewed, and this includes formation of new melanin by melanin-producing cells known as melanocytes.

When you use a bleaching cream, the activity of the melanocytes is reduced, or the cells are altogether killed. This then results in lighter skin. However, with time, other cells in the skin known as stem cells end up transforming into melanocytes, and produce melanin according to one’s DNA. In the end, this results in the individual becoming darker again unless the melanocytes are suppressed for a long time.

Quality Skin Bleaching Creams Produce Better Results for Longer

The fact that skin bleaching creams are not permanent might discourage some people, since it means that they need to use it constantly as long as they want lighter skin. However, there are ways to overcome this issue. The use of high quality and effective creams which safely lighten the skin for a long time can be tried. The creams that lighten the skin for longer than other products result in less use. For instance, you might find that such a product needs to be applied only once a week, whereas another product needs to be used daily in order to produce the desired effect.

Since the skin bleaching creams are not permanent, it means that if you are interested in having your original skin tone back, all you have to do is to stop using the cream. Typically, when one starts using such creams, it takes a few days for the effects to be noticeable. Likewise, when you stop using the cream, your skin will darken gradually over a few days rather than instantly. If you decide to use skin bleaching creams and want to have lighter skin for a long time, you could opt products that need application more frequently, and simply make it part of your daily routine to use the cream.

Only Get Skin Bleaching Creams from Reliable Sources

The most important issue is to get a cream manufactured by a trusted vendor. Since you will be using the cream in the long term, low quality creams may end up damaging your skin irreparably. This is particularly true for home-made creams, some of which contain dangerous elements such as heavy metals. The use of low quality creams can also adversely affect your tolerance to sunshine; you may find your skin burning even if you are exposed to sunshine for a short time. The risk of getting skin cancer is also increased if the product quality is low.

As the name suggests, skin bleaching agents are products which are designed to make the skin lighter in color. The degree of change in skin tone usually depends on the type of product one uses; some very strong skin bleaching agents can make one have Caucasian-like skin even if they previously had very dark skin. Skin bleaching is not a modern phenomenon; there is evidence that it has been practiced as early as during the Elizabethan period in Europe.

How the Skin Becomes Dark

Understanding the mechanism of action of skin bleaching agents requires one to understand how skin looks dark in the first place. Having dark skin is mainly due to genetic factors. Cells known as melanocytes produce melanin, which is responsible for the darkening of skin and hair. People who naturally have light skin tend to have lower levels of melanin, while those who are dark have more of it. The melanocytes are located just beneath the skin, and actively reproduce to create more melanocytes as older ones die. Some cells can also transform into melanocytes as well. The role of melanin in the skin is to protect the underlying tissue from UV radiation.

How Skin Bleaching Agents Work

There are several ways in which skin bleaching agents work to make skin lighter. The most common are to induce the melanocytes to produce less melanin. Some creams also reduce the number of melanocytes and prevent stem cells in the skin from transforming into melanocytes to replace them. In this way, the total number of melanocytes reduces. Some skin bleaching agents also affect enzymes and systems that are responsible for the formation of melanin in melanocytes. Inhibition of these processes reduces total melanin content in the skin.

How are Skin Bleaching Agents Used?

Skin bleaching agents are usually in the form of creams which are applied on the face. If you are interested in lightening your whole body rather than your face only, you would need to apply the cream all over your body. To make the transformation look natural, it’s important to evenly distribute the cream all over your body. You may require help to do this, particularly in hard to reach areas such as your back. Depending on the type of product used, you may have to wash it off later, or simply apply it as you would any other facial cream. Other variables between different bleaching agents include how frequently you need to use them as well as how long it will take for you to see results.

Understanding the Issue of Safety

To protect your skin, it’s essential to choose a quality product if you intend to use a skin bleaching agent. Products that are made with quality in mind are usually tested to ensure that they don’t do short or long term damage to the skin. They are also likely to have other additives which make the skin healthier, such as vitamins and chemicals to keep the skin hydrated and supple. Homemade bleaching agents are popular in some areas, though using them is highly discouraged since they usually contain products that might irreversibly damage your skin.

A common beauty concern among many people is how dark their skin is. This could be as a result of genetic factors, or the presence of too many scars resulting from conditions such as severe acne. In these situations, it may make sense for one to use a skin bleaching agent which will lighten the skin leading to a more attractive skin tone. Though most bleaching agents are used to lighten one’s face, it is also possible to bleach the entire body. A common concern among many people is whether skin bleaching will damage the skin or not. This heavily depends on the quality of the bleaching agent used.

The Problem with Low Quality or Home-Made Bleaching Agents

If you use low quality skin bleaching agents such as those that are home-made, you can definitely expect some degree of skin damage particularly if you use them in the long term. The fact that they are homemade or low quality means that their efficacy is not tested, and they are likely to have high amounts of products such as heavy metals and acids. The result is that the skin might lighten, but at the cost of introducing other forms of skin damage.

How Low Quality Bleaching Agents Cause Skin Damage

Low quality skin bleaching agents are more likely to damage the skin as a result of high concentrations of chemicals such as acids and heavy metals in them. For instance, the acids could interfere with the structural integrity of the skin. The presence of the heavy metals might lead to long term complications including a higher risk of skin cancer. This is why skin lightening creams have a bad reputation in some parts of the world.

However, this is only because the products most commonly used in those areas are not tested. Low quality bleaching agents can also prove to be too strong, and result in removal of too much melanin from the skin. When such skin is exposed to the sun, the risk of sunburn from UV rays is much higher, since virtually all the melanin has been removed. Exposure to UV rays without the protection from melanin also results in changes in the DNA of the underlying skin cells. This results in an increased risk of skin cancer.

Quality Skin Bleaching Agents Won't Harm Your Skin

If you buy dermatologically tested skin bleaching agents, you should have no worry about damage to the skin. The fact that the products are tested means that they don’t contain any chemicals that will pose a risk either in the long or short term. They are also mild, which means they lighten the skin by healthy degrees. You will end up with a lighter and clearer skin tone, without losing too much melanin. This means that your skin will be protected against UV rays.

To further enhance the efficacy of the bleaching agents, they are also likely to contain other compounds that keep the skin healthy. These include vitamin C, vitamin E and hydrating agents. This means that not only will you end up with much lighter skin, but it will also be smooth, supple and healthier than before.

Having scars on your face can have a negative impact on your self-confidence, the way people perceive you and other factors. As a result, it’s usually common to find people with significant facial scars having the desire to get rid of them. A common cause of such scars is acne. Once resolved, acne can leave scars that affect moderate or large areas of your face. Several methods can be used to remove the scars, including the use of creams, some forms of radiation and even surgery. A relatively cheap but effective method is to use skin bleaching agents to lighten the shade of the scars.

How Skin Bleaching Remove Scars

Scars form when skin breaks and then heals in such a manner that the area becomes too pigmented. It therefore makes sense to reduce the pigmentation as a way of making them less noticeable. This is how the skin bleaching agents work. There are many pathways that these agents use, but the end result for all skin bleaching agents is to reduce the amount of melanin in the areas of application. The vast majority of facial scars are not deep, which means that this method is effective for them.

Using skin bleaching agents is not complicated. Instructions for use usually depend on the brand you buy. However, the basic issue behind most of them is that you should apply the skin bleaching cream directly on the scars. Factors that affect how fast and how effective this will be include the degree of scarring, the skin bleaching brand that you are using as well as how you are using it.

Consistency and following the manufacturer’s instructions are critical; being inconsistent with application will only prolong the time it takes to notice any effect. One should also be patient when using skin bleaching agents for scars. Depending on the type of scar, some may take several weeks before the effect becomes noticeable. However, as long as you use high quality products and are consistent, you can be assured that the scars will lighten in color.

Other Issues to Bear in Mind

When it comes to skin bleaching creams, you always get what you pay for. High quality creams tend to be more effective at removing the scars, and also keep the skin healthier as well. The underlying cause of the scars, if present, should also be addressed. For instance, there are some people who have active acne and also have facial scars from past afflictions with acne.

In such a scenario, the use of skin bleaching creams should be augmented with acne treatment to ensure that no more scars form. This might require consultation with a dermatologist, particularly if over-the-counter acne medication does not seem to work. Leaving the acne or other condition uncontrolled will only lead to formation of new scars as the cream lightens the older ones.

If you are concerned about the presence of facial scars, skin bleaching agents are an excellent way to deal with them. As long as you insist on quality, you will end up with skin that has few blemishes if any.

Acne is a common skin condition that usually occurs in puberty, but can also affect older individuals. The presence of the acne can affect one’s self esteem. This is particularly if the acne affects large areas of the face. There are various methods that can be used to treat the acne, and in many cases one is left with clear skin. However, a significant proportion of acne sufferers end up having to deal with acne scars afterwards.

How Acne Causes Scars

Acne is basically an infection of the cells that produce oil in the skin in order to keep it smooth and supple. It is common in puberty because these cells become more active due to the hormonal changes that occur during puberty. These cells are concentrated along the T-zone of the face, which includes the forehead and the bridge of the nose. It can also occur on the cheeks and neck as well.

Once infected, a pimple forms on the skin since the oil produced by the cells is blocked from reaching the skin surface due to debris blocking the cell’s outlet. As the pimple grows larger, they can pop by themselves or one can do so by themselves. The result is a break in the skin which heals with scar formation. Depending on the degree of acne, this can happen several times, resulting in repeated scar formation on multiple areas of the face. Once the acne resolves, the scars might heal if they were minimal and very light, but in many cases persist.

The Role of Skin Bleaching

When acne scars persist, skin bleaching is one of the methods one can use to help clear the face. Scars are most commonly the result of accumulation of too many melanocytes at the site of healing. As a result, a lot of melanin is formed in a localized location, resulting in a scar. Reducing the number of melanocytes or restricting production of melanin is a straightforward way of reducing these scars, and this is what skin bleaching agents do.

The effectiveness of acne scar removal using skin bleaching depends on the quality of the agent used, as well as how it’s used. Consistent use results in faster resolution of the scars. You should also consider using bleaching agents that have other compounds that are beneficial to the skin. Rather than containing only the bleaching agent, a product that has other ingredients such as vitamin C and Vitamin E will help in healing the skin and keeping it smooth and supple. This could result in faster resolution of the scars as well. This is why the use of high quality, tested bleaching agents is recommended for acne scar removal.

While using skin bleaching agents to remove acne scars, active acne (if present) should also be treated. This usually requires the use of several methods together including over the counter anti-acne products, keeping your skin clean so that pores remain open, diet modification and even exercise. Either way, using a skin bleaching agent is an excellent and safe method of removing acne scars as long as you use high quality agents.

Getting a tattoo can be initially fun, but there are times when you find that it’s a bad decision later on, and want to reverse it. Unfortunately, this can be difficult to achieve in many instances, particularly if the tattoo is recently done. The mainstay for tattoo removal is through the use of laser treatments, but this requires many sessions depending on the size and age of the tattoo, and in some cases, can be expensive.

You will also need to visit the laser tattoo removal center several times before it is all removed. One other option you can consider is through the use of skin bleaching creams. Though they don’t outright remove the tattoos, they can help in fading the tattoos thus making them less conspicuous.

The Mechanism Behind Using Bleaching Creams to Fade Tattoos

There are two things that lend tattoos their color: the ink that is deposited deep into the skin, as well as the scarring that occurs due to the needles poking the skin when first having the tattoo done. The ink that is deep within the skin cannot be affected by bleaching cream. This is because bleaching creams are designed to reduce the amount of melanin in skin, thus making the complexion lighter. The cells they affect are very close to the surface of the skin, while the tattoo ink is usually very deep within the skin.

However, since tattooing also leads to formation of scars which increase the conspicuousness of the tattoo, using skin bleaching cream on them can lead to fading. This is because the cream reduces the melanin that contributes to the tattoo’s dark color, which in turn reduces the color intensity. For this to be effective, however, the cream has to be used on a regular basis, and you should expect the outcome to start being visible within a few days or weeks depending on the type of bleaching cream you use.

Adjunctive Measures to Get Rid of the Tattoo Completely

If you want to get rid of the tattoo completely, it would make sense to combine the use of a bleaching cream with a method that will get rid of the ink under the skin. Though painful, the use of laser removal is currently the best way to go around this. This involves zapping the tattoo with laser beams of a particular intensity. This breaks up the ink molecules, which are then removed from the site by your body’s immune cells. The laser removal can sometimes leave scars in a few individuals, but this would be sorted out with the use of the skin bleaching cream.

Always Go for Quality Skin Bleaching Creams

The effectiveness of a skin bleaching cream in fading a tattoo does not only depend on time and proper use, but also the quality of the cream as well. Always go for skin bleaching brands that have a good reputation, and you will be assured that your skin will be left healthy. Some of these contain nutrients and vitamins for the skin which encourage production of new cells to replace the ones that have a lot of melanin in them. This contributes to tattoo fading, as well as making your skin healthier.

There are reports from many people who have tried to use skin bleaching agents where they end up getting stretch marks. This can be disappointing since the bleaching agents are used for cosmetic purposes, and the stretch marks negate this. These stretch marks are usually found on one’s thighs and legs, though other parts of the body can also be affected. However, this does not mean that skin bleaching should be avoided. Choosing the right type of bleaching agent will get rid of the risk of getting stretch marks, since it’s only particular bleaching agents that can cause it.

How Stretch Marks Are Formed

There are many causes of stretch marks, the most common of which are associated with weight gain and pregnancy. However, when it comes to skin bleaching, the use of low quality skin bleaching agents are the main culprits. Many of these agents are usually not well tested when being developed, so this side effect is not corrected. Ensuring that your skin bleaching cream brand is reliable is the simplest way to avoid the stretch marks.

Most of the low-quality bleaching agents contain a corticosteroid as part of the ingredients. However, these types of steroids are known to make the skin thinner especially when used over a long time, as you would when using a skin bleaching agent. In addition to that, they can also reduce the amount of collagen beneath the skin. These two factors result in the formation of stretch marks. With regular use of these products, you may start noticing the stretch marks after two to three months.

High Grade Skin Bleaching Agents and How They Stop Stretch Marks

Fortunately, you don’t need to worry about this if you buy high grade skin bleaching agents. These are not necessarily very expensive, but are made with the health of your skin in mind. The fact that you are likely to use these products for weeks or even months on end should make you careful so that you choose agents that will be healthy for your skin.

High quality bleaching agents reduce melanin formation without having to thin the skin or reduce the amount of collagen in it. This is because they don’t contain steroids. In addition to that, top brands also contain skin nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A and many others. These ingredients help in keeping the skin rejuvenated, and encourage collagen formation. As a result, you end up with skin that is not only shades lighter, but also smooth and supple. Some will even have compounds that will protect your skin from UV radiation.

Therefore, you can get stretch marks from skin bleaching agents particularly if you don’t pay attention to what you are getting. However, if you insist on only the top brands, this will not happen. Instead, you will have healthier skin and also have the benefit of lighter skin. The best thing about it is that you don’t even have to spend a lot of money for this; you only need to choose the right product.

Today, skin bleaching is becoming very popular worldwide. If you are interested in trying it out either to get rid of scars or to simply change your skin tone, understanding how the products work would be essential. This will help you know what to expect, as well as know which products to buy and which ones to avoid. When bleaching skin, the goal is to reduce the amount of melanin deposited within the top layers of the skin.

Melanin is the product that gives skin and hair its dark color. Reducing its quantity in the skin will make it less dark, whether it’s in a scar or on the whole body. The degree of whitening depends on the amount melanin removed from the skin. There are various methods used to achieve this, and different skin bleaching agents might contain ingredients that use one or more of these methods. These include:

Inhibiting the Activity of an Enzyme Known as Tyrosinase

Melanin is produced within cells known as melanocytes. It is a complex protein made by using an amino acid known as tyrosine, and then converting it through a series of steps into melanin. During this process, an enzyme known as tyrosinase is needed to convert this amino acid. There are some products that reduce the formation or effectiveness of this enzyme, which means that the amount of melanin formation will be reduced as well. In addition to that, there are some biological agents which modify the expression of the gene that is responsible for the manufacturing of tyrosinase, which has the same effect. The bleaching agents which depend on inhibition of this enzyme are very effective.

Preventing Melanin from Being Deposited onto the Skin

In order to make the skin dark and protect it from UV radiation, the melanin formed has to be transported to the upper layers of the skin. All the particles of melanin are then arranged in order. This transfer process depends on the movement of a number of cells, and also expends energy. Some bleaching agents act by preventing this from happening. This means that while the melanin is formed, it is not transported to the upper layer of the skin. This is usually a continuous process since melanin that is already in the upper layers of the skin is regularly lost when skin naturally sloughs off. If this process is inhibited, the skin will get lighter with time, since the existing melanin will be lost but not replaced.

Destruction of Melanin and Melanocytes

The pigment that darkens the skin can also be destroyed by chemical agents that can be found in some skin bleaching products, leading to a lighter skin tone. Alternatively, the cells that produce the melanin, known as melanocytes, can also be damaged and therefore not produce any melanin. An ideal bleaching agent should not only destroy the surface melanin without affecting any other system, since the melanocytes will simply increase the rate at which the melanin is formed to replace them. This is why it is common to find that skin bleaching agents which target the melanin directly also influence another part of the system, such as transport of melanin to the surface or production of the melanin.

Side effects to skin bleaching do exist, and it is important for anyone attempting to do it to understand them. Over the past few years, there have been many studies into skin bleaching, and this has led to the development of safer skin bleaching agents. Avoiding these side effects is as simple as choosing to use skin bleaching brands which are reliable, and those that have good reviews. These tend to not only bleach the skin, but also nourish it as well. That said, some of the side effects that you might encounter particularly if you use low quality skin bleaching agents include:

Skin Sensitivity

Your skin is likely to become more sensitive when you first start using some types of skin bleaching agents. Low quality agents purported to have a fast onset of action tend to have very strong chemical compounds which might end up irritating the skin. These include some types of acids. Your skin may become a lot more sensitive after a few days of using such products, and may require you to either buy a safer brand or reduce the amount that you use. The former is usually the best choice.

Increased Risk of Skin Cancer

The poorly made skin bleaching agents tend to be very harsh, and result in removal of virtually all the melanin from the skin. This might make you very light, but it also exposes you to UV radiation as well. The purpose of melanin is to prevent UV radiation from reaching the deeper parts of the skin. When all of it is completely removed from the skin, the UV rays from the sun end up damaging the DNA within your skin cells, and this could lead to cancer.

It also means that you will suffer sunburn much sooner compared to other people. Safe, high quality skin bleaches make your skin lighter without having to remove all the melanin, thus keeping your skin protected. Some of them may also contain anti-UV properties, which drastically reduces the risk of skin cancer and sunburn. You may think that using an aggressive product with harsh chemicals may speed up the process of skin bleaching, but remember that it will expose you to this side effect.

Scarring

Depending on the nature of the ingredients and the sensitivity of your skin, some skin bleaching agents may also cause scarring. This can be disappointing particularly if you are using the product to get rid of scars or use it on the whole of your body. Scarring mainly results from the presence of harsh chemicals such as acids which physically and chemically damage the skin. As the skin repairs this damage, the scarring occurs. Quality bleaching agents are dermatologically tested and rarely lead to scarring.

Acne

Acne can form when one of the ingredients of a skin bleaching agent blocks the ducts leading out of your skin’s sebaceous glands onto the surface of the skin. As a result, the glands produce oil that is meant to keep the skin moist, but this accumulates within the gland due to the blockage. This finally results in inflammation, formation of pimples and acne. This risk is increased in people with oily skin. You can avoid it by buying skin bleaching brands which are non-comedogenic, which means they don’t have compounds that can block the ducts.

By definition, a mole is a collection of melanocytes on the skin. Melanocytes are cells which produce melanin, and this is why moles tend to be darker in color compared to the rest of the skin. By controlling the proliferation of the melanocytes on the skin and reducing the amount of melanin already there, the intensity of such moles can be reduced, and sometimes they can be gotten rid of altogether. Skin bleaching agents typically have the effect of reducing the amount of melanin on the skin, and can therefore be used to get rid of most types of moles.

Does Skin Lightening Cream Work on All Types of Moles?

If you have a mole and are interested in getting rid of it, proper identification is an important first step in ensuring that the process works when using skin lightening creams. If the mole is raised, only depending on skin lightening creams might not work effectively. You may need to visit a dermatologist to have it removed surgically or through the use of electrocautery or by using liquid nitrogen. When the raise mole is removed in this manner, it may leave a scar that you can then lighten using the skin lightening creams.

Many people have moles that do not protrude from the skin, also known as flat moles. In such cases, you can try to remove them using a skin lightening product without surgical intervention first. However, it’s always good to have a dermatologist or pathologist examine the mole to determine the risk of it turning into a cancerous mass. If examination is done and it is found to be benign, then you can easily use skin lightening creams on a flat mole to reduce how dark it is.

Understand What You Can Expect

Your expectations vary depending on the brand of skin lightener as well as how you follow the directions for use. When you use a reliable brand, you may need consistent application for several weeks before you start seeing the results. You should therefore not stop using the product after only a few days, since the chemicals will not have worked on the melanocytes for long enough to get rid of the melanin. If a quality brand is used, the risk of having adverse effects are minimal. Some people who have sensitive skin might have some slight irritation once they start using the skin lightening cream. This should subside with continued use of the product.

The Importance of Quality Skin Lightening Creams

The use of top brand skin lightening creams cannot be overemphasized, as these are chemically balanced to ensure that they not only get rid of the melanin, but also nourish the skin as well. This becomes the safest way to get rid of the mole without having to damage the rest of your skin. Other general skincare steps such as having a balanced diet and enough exercise will also contribute to healthier skin.

In summary, you can use a skin lightening cream to get rid of moles, particularly if the mole is flat and not malignant in nature.

Having dark circles under the eyes is one of the most common dermatological complaints that people around the world. This condition affects people with all types of skin tones, but those with darker skin tones tend to be afflicted more than the rest of the population. Most people associate the presence of dark circles under the eyes with fatigue. Though this can cause the problem, there are other factors which can also contribute to formation of dark circles under the eyes, even in people who are not fatigued and who get enough sleep.

How Dark Circles Form

To understand the role of skin lightening creams in treating dark circles under the eyes, one has to first figure out how the circles form. In the case of fatigue, a stressed body produces cortisol in order to combat the stress. One of the effects of high cortisol include an increase in blood volume which makes blood vessels engorge. The skin around the eyes is very thin, and enlargement of the blood vessel networks within them can manifest as dark circles. Usually, getting enough rest, exercise and proper sleeping habits will help in getting rid of such dark circles.

However, there are some that are much more difficult to get rid of. These could be genetic, where the skin around the eyes produces more melanin than usual. This results in darkening around the eyes which does not resolve even if one is not fatigued. for such dark circles, the use of lightening creams makes a lot of sense, since they reduce the amount of melanin in the skin and thus help get rid of the dark circles.

Key Precautions to Know

If you have chronic dark circles under your eyes and intend to use skin lightening creams to remove them, the most important thing to remember is that the skin around the eyes is very thin and can be easily damaged. The skin lightening agent you choose should not be too strong, since it will damage the skin and could even result in scar formation. The brands to go for are those that are dermatologically tested and which can be used by people with sensitive skin. You should also remember that consistent use of the skin lightening cream around the eyes is important for faster resolution of the darkening.

Adjunctive Measures

When using a high-quality skin lightening cream to get rid of dark circles under your eyes, you should also consider taking other steps to help the process along. Some of these include modifying your diet to make it healthier if it currently isn’t. This will improve the general health of your skin. Exercise is also important, since it increases blood supply to the skin and helps in removal of toxins from it. Exercise also releases endorphins which improve your mood, so you end up feeling more confident about yourself as well. The exercise does not need to be intense; moderate exercise resulting in you sweating for around 20 to 30 minutes each day is all you need.

In summary, dark circles under the eyes can be removed by skin lightening creams. As long as the right cream is chosen and other factors addressed, this should not be a difficult process.

Skin lightening has become a popular concern among many people around the world as they strive to look more attractive. In many parts of the world, this has driven up the sales of skin lightening products as well as led to the proliferation of homemade skin lightening concoctions. If you are interested in using a bleaching agent, chances are that you have many questions on your mind particularly if you want to keep your skin safe. One of these might be the risk of the lightening cream peeling your skin after use.

The Difference between Peeling and Skin Lightening

Skin peeling and skin lightening are two different things, and they may or may not both occur when you use a skin lightening agent. Skin peeling refers to a process where the superficial layers of the skin are removed (mostly by abrasion) so that younger skin beneath is revealed. This usually leads to skin that looks more clarified, and can also help in reducing some superficial skin defects.

Skin lightening, on the other hand, is simply a process that has to do with melanin. All skin lightening agents affect the amount of melanin in the skin. Since it is the pigment that gives skin its dark color, reducing the amount of melanin in a scar or any part of skin where the cream is applied will result in a lighter tone.

A Single Product Can Perform Both Whitening and Peeling

Skin lightening may or may not also result in peeling, as this depends on the products you are using. Some skin lighteners also contain chemical peeling agents known as exfoliants which mildly peel the top layer of the skin. The goal of this is to expose the younger-looking layer of skin beneath. It also clears dead cells from the surface of the skin. This can be important considering the fact that skin regenerates very quickly, and dead skin can accumulate on the surface particularly if you don’t wash it off regularly.

Whether or not the lightening agent will cause peeling therefore depends on the ingredients of the skin lightening agent. If you want to benefit from a peel, it would be wise to specifically look out for skin whitening agents that have an exfoliant within the ingredients.

Strong Peeling is Not Advised

One might think that a product that strongly peels the surface of the skin is ideal, but this is not the case. In fact, the milder the peel, the better it is for many people especially if they are going to use it for a long time, as one would when using a skin lightening agent. When a very strong peel is used on a regular basis, it could strip the top layer of the skin so much so that one ends up with severely damaged skin which starts having scars. Aggressive removal of the superficial layer of the skin will also expose the underlying tissue to the elements and could even cause infection.

In summary, skin lightening products may or may not peel the skin; it depends on the ingredients the product has.  However, if you decide to get one that peels the skin, always insist on one where the peeling effect is mild so that your skin is kept healthy.

When you use skin whitening products, one of the key concerns you have is whether you are applying healthy products on your skin. For this, you would need to have a rough idea of some of the ingredients that are used to make the skin whitening products, which will then lead you to figuring out which ones to use and which ones to avoid. Of course, each skin whitening product will have its own list of ingredients depending on the brand. However, some of the common ones present in a large majority of skin whitening products include:

Kojic Acid

Kojic acid is one of the best skin whitening ingredients, and also happens to be one of the safest. It acts to whiten the skin in a number of ways. One of this is by suppression of tyrosinase in the body. This enzyme is essential to the production of tyrosine, which is a precursor to melanin. By inhibiting its production, less melanin is produced, and the skin then becomes lighter. Tyrosinase is a central enzyme in the production of melanin, so inhibiting it will definitely whiten skin. This makes kojic acid one of the most effective whiteners, and which will work with virtually everyone. Kojic acid is usually derived from a particular species of mushroom.

Mulberry

For people new to skin whitening, considering mulberry as an important ingredient in skin whitening can be strange. It has been shown that mulberry root barks have a high potential to reduce the rate of production of melanin by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase, just like kojic acid. However, the root bark extracts of the mulberry plant have been shown to be more effective compared to kojic acid. In addition to that, the extracts have also been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines on the face. White and paper mulberry are the kinds that are most suitable for dermatological use.

Alpha Arbutin

Alpha arbutin is a well-known skin lightening agent, and can be found as an ingredient in many skin lightening products. The ingredient’s benefits include providing an even skin tone, as well as reduction of tanning after exposure to UV radiation. In addition to that, alpha arbutin is also very effective at reducing the appearance of liver spots. This biosynthetic ingredient is derived from the bearberry plant, and can be found in many other types of cosmetics in addition to skin lighteners.

Glutathione

Glutathione has received a lot of attention as a cosmetic agent in the recent past. This is not only because it has some effect in skin lightening, but that it also generally improves one’s complexion and health of the skin. This is because glutathione is an antioxidant and also gets rid of heavy metals, free radicals and other unneeded free radicals from the body, all of which can be toxic and lead to cellular damage. Since this effect is systemic, it will lead to better overall health in other tissues such as the nails and hair when taken as a pill. When used as a cream, these effects will be limited to the area of application.

There are many people out there who consider using skin whitening products, but are not sure if whitening products are safe to use on their skin. As is the case with many other things in life, the fact that some people have a difficult time with skin whitening products does not mean that these products don’t work or pose safety concerns. In fact, if you do your research, it’s easy for you to find a skin whitening product which will not only help you whiten your skin, but do so in such a manner that is safe and effective.

Most high-quality skin whitening products are designed in such a manner as to offer other benefits such as increasing collagen growth to make your skin firmer which gets rid of some skin creases. Some of the things you can do to ensure that your skin's health is not compromised when using the whitening products include:

Use Skin Whitening Products as Prescribed

When you first buy a skin whitening product, you will definitely notice that there are instructions on the label. Ensure that you read and understand these, and then follow them for maximum results. For instance, there are some skin whitening products that are designed to be put on the skin for a specified amount of time. Leaving them on for much longer will not make your skin whiter, but could result in damaged skin.

Avoid Using Multiple Solutions at the Same Time

Some people are usually tempted to use more than one whitening cream at the same time in a bid to make the process proceed faster. However, there are times when the effects of two different skin whitening creams will cause an adverse reaction that may damage your skin, sometimes irreversibly. Unless you are specifically instructed to use two products together by your dermatologist or as part of the instructions, you should avoid doing this.

Find Out What Chemicals the Whitening Agent Has

You should have a “blacklist” on some of the dangerous chemicals which can be found in certain skin whitening cream that are known to cause skin damage. This means that when you go shopping, it would be easy for you to identify the products that have one or more of these chemicals, and then avoid them. The commonest of these are boric acid, coal tar, DHDM, methenamine, hydroquinone, oxybenzone, and mercury.

Seek Help If You Are Not Sure about New Products

If you are not sure about whether to use an unfamiliar skin whitening product or not, you can always seek some help. Talk to your dermatologist about the product, and they can tell you whether it has any chemicals that pose a risk to your skin or not. You can also go through some online reviews to find out what other people have to say about the product. If many people have had a negative reaction to the whitening product, then you will definitely find this information online. As long as you have done prior research or talked to a skin expert, it is more likely than not that you will benefit from skin whitening products in the desired manner.

The use of skin lighteners is a common cosmetic procedure these days. If you decide to have your skin lightened, it would be wise for you to keep in mind the factors that will influence the quality of the outcome as well as the health of your skin. Some of the precautions that you need to take when embarking on this include:

Make Sure the Skin Lightening Cream Does Not Contain Dangerous Chemicals

The first step would be to obviously buy the skin lightening cream. When doing this, it is very important to pay attention to the ingredients of the cream to make sure that it has nothing that could jeopardize the health of your skin in future. Remember, you are likely to use the cream for upwards of two or three months on a regular basis, so even trace amounts of chemicals such as mercury will accumulate in your body. It’s easy to find a list of some of the dangerous skin whitening chemicals online.

Test It on a Small Patch of Your Skin

Before using the skin lightener, you should try and use a very small quantity of it on a hidden part of your body, such as on your inner arm. The goal is to find out if your skin has any reaction to the cream. This is because some people may have very sensitive skin, and may end up having bad reactions with creams which other people find effective. It’s easier to have this reaction on a very small area of your skin, rather than risking by placing it on your whole face before having this information. This should be done with all types of lighteners you have not used before.

Don't Mix It with Other Chemicals

In a few cases, you may imagine it prudent to mix the skin lightening cream with other chemicals such as a hydrating facial cream for enhanced effect. However, remember that there may be different chemicals in the two which could react with each other and end up damaging your skin. Most skin lightening products are designed so that you don’t have to use them with any other skincare products.

Read the Instructions on the Label Carefully

When you first start using a skin lightening cream, it’s advisable to go through the label to find out how to use it before going ahead to do it. This is because different products may require you to go through different procedures for the best effect.

Most skin lightening product manufacturers go to great lengths to ensure that their products are as easy to use as possible, so you might not be required to do much. However, going through the instructions of use could save you from potential problems such as chemical burns on your skin. This is particularly important of the very strong skin lightening products which might require dilution before use.

The key to using skin lightening agents effectively can simply be summarized as simply being careful. However, if you buy high quality skin lightening agents, chances are that you will find them to be safe and effective, so you won’t need to fear using them.

Laser skin lightening is a new method of using laser light pulses to destroy dark spots in the skin to reduce blemishes. There are many people who are proponents of this method of lightening due to the fact that it’s fast and effective. However, if you are researching on methods of lightening your skin, it might be worth pausing and thinking about it before jumping on the laser skin lightening bandwagon. There is a lot of fine print behind laser skin lightening, and it’s essential that you know this information before opting for it over other methods such as the use of bleaching agents.

How the Process Works

Laser lightening works by concentrating energy in the form of light of a specific wavelength and focusing it on the blemish. The energy delivered to the tissues results in heating of water molecules as well as direct damage to the tissues, which eventually results in the dark spot becoming obliterated. Laser skin lightening works on small areas of the skin at a time, so if you have many spots that you need taken care of then you might need to either go for more laser sessions or have a much longer single session than usual. The fact that laser skin lightening is relatively new and expensive means that either way, you are likely to spend quite a bit on the process.

Side Effects that You Ought to Consider

Due to its inherent nature, laser skin lightening has a number of side effects that you should thoroughly consider before choosing it. One of these is pain. Remember that the main mechanism of action of skin lightening is delivering high energy to a small quantity of tissues deep within the skin. This can result in pain. When removing a single blemish, the laser pulses have to be delivered several times, which means that you may need to endure pain for a considerable amount of time. Due to this reason, most providers give some sort of analgesia or even anesthesia before proceeding with it.

In addition to that, there are other issues that might arise later on after you have completed the laser skin lightening procedure. Some of these include:

Infection at the siteRedness/skin irritationItchingSwellingHaving a burning sensationPost-inflammatory pigmentationScarringIrregularities of the skin surfaceChanges of your skin’s texture.

This list is not exhaustive; there are a number of less common side effects depending on your skin type.

Is It Better Than Using Skin Bleaching Agents?

Though it is new and gets rid of small blemishes faster, there are a number of reasons why you would be better off with bleaching agents compared to laser skin lightening procedures. For one, it is much cheaper, and you can bleach a larger surface area of the skin at one given time compared to the laser treatment. In addition to that, the side effect profile of the bleaching agent is much better and more tolerable compared to laser skin lightening. When comparing the modalities of these two skin lightening methods, the use of bleaching agents is definitely more superior, as long as you use a high quality bleaching agent.

One of the commonest questions people have when starting to use skin bleaching agents is how much time to expect until they see results. Unfortunately, this is one of those questions for which a single answer won’t suffice. There are many factors that affect the rate of skin lightening, and many things you can do to ensure that the process is accelerated. Typically, it takes between 2 and 3 weeks for you to start noticing some changes in your skin complexion once you start using the bleaching agents. The factors that influence this include:

The Product You Are Using

The products you choose to use for skin bleaching have a heavy impact in determining how much and to what degree the lightening will occur. The sensible thing is to therefore buy products that have shown to rapidly whiten the skin. However, you should also keep in mind the safety of such products. There are some skin bleaching agents which are claimed to show results within days, but which are so powerful that they end up damaging your skin irreversibly soon after. When shopping for a skin bleaching agent, go for those that are safe and which will bleach the skin within a reasonable timeline.

Whether You Follow the Bleaching Instructions

The instructions on how the bleaching agent is to be used depends on the brand you get. Deviation from this usually results in either slowed bleaching or an increased risk of harm. Once you buy your new skin bleaching agent, it would be wise to go through the instructions carefully, and then make sure that you adhere to them each time you use it. For instance, some may require daily application, while others might require application once every two days. Delaying too much will obviously result in a slower pace of whitening.

The Nature of Your Skin

The inherent nature of your skin will also influence the rate at which it lightens. For instance, people with very dark skin might need to use the skin bleaching agents for longer, since they tend to have more melanin or more melanin-producing cells. The chemicals that reduce the amount of melanin produced during the bleaching may therefore need more time for visible changes to be noticeable. This means that if you notice someone else having very rapid results while your skin is taking longer to get a lighter tone, this could be simply because of the difference in your skin types.

These are just a few of the factors that influence the time it takes for bleaching to show effects. The key thing to remember is that the changes are likely to be noticeable within three weeks to two months, depending on a host of factors including the above and more.

It also means that when you start using skin bleaching agents, your expectations should be realistic. It would be unwise to use a bleaching product for a few days and then simply give up or change to another product simply because you have not seen the results. Always remember that this is a long term process, and if you have chosen the correct products then the effects will be noticeable in due course.

Having sensitive skin can be a problem for many people, since it means that they need to be very careful regarding the type of skincare agents they decide to use. A majority of products out there increase this risk, since they are not meant for sensitive skin as most people have normal skin. However, help is at hand, since there are bleaching agents which are designed for sensitive skin, such as Skintrium. Of course, there is a lot that you can also do to prevent the risk of breakouts and other complications including:

Avoid Parabens and Other Chemicals Which Will Block Your Pores

When choosing skin bleaching agents or other facial cosmetics, you need to pay attention to the ingredients more than usual if you have sensitive skin. If you are prone to breakouts, rashes and other similar problems, then it would be wise to avoid skincare products which have chemicals that will block your pores, or which will be harsh on your skin. Parabens are examples of these; they are chemicals that are found in many facial care products which clog pores and contribute to acne and breakouts.

Fortunately, Skintrium products are made without parabens and harsh chemicals, so you can use them with the confidence that your skin will benefit from the bleaching agent without reacting to it later on. In addition to that, this product also contains other ingredients which soothe and generally improve the health of the skin, so you get multiple benefits from one product.

Washing Your Skin Regularly

People who are sensitive to breakouts need to take more care of their skin, and this may involve washing it regularly to get rid of dirt which might clog skin pores. This is especially so if you have oily skin. Regular face washing using mild soaps is highly encouraged. Before using the bleaching agent, it is also wise to clean your face to remove any makeup or dirt which could impede the penetration of the agent into the skin. The key here is regularity and the use of products that are meant for sensitive skin.

Don’t Forget to Wear Sunscreen

If you have very sensitive skin and start using a bleaching agent, you should also not forget the importance of sunscreen whenever you go out. The fact that you have sensitive skin means that you may be more sensitive to ultraviolet radiation when you first start using the bleaching agents, since they remove a proportion of melanin from the top layers of the skin.

Choosing the right sunscreen is vital; you should avoid skin blocks which simply coat the skin and could leave a visible film on it. In addition to that, they could also block your pores leading to breakouts. The sunscreens you choose should be free of parabens and other chemicals that have the potential to block your pores. Ideally, you should insist on those that are specifically designed for sensitive skin.

In summary, you can easily use bleaching agents if you have sensitive skin without the fear of a bad reaction later on. The key is proper selection of bleaching agents suitable for your skin, and also ensuring that you take other measures to protect your skin.

Skin bleaching has become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in many parts of the world. However, the problem is that many people don’t know the details about how skin bleaching works, as well as what to expect when they start the process. One of the commonest questions asked is if skin bleaching can work for all skin tones. In order to understand this, it’s vital to first have a clear understanding of how bleaching works.

Basic Principles Behind Skin Bleaching

One’s skin color is usually determined by the quantity of melanin in their skin. This is what gives color to the skin, the eyes and hair. As a rule, the darker the skin, the more melanin it has. The role of skin bleaching is to reduce the amount of melanin to make the skin lighter. This is usually achieved through disruption of various biological processes that result in deposition of melanin in the skin, principally its production.

All Skin Tones have Melanin in Them

With the exception of skin disorders resulting in skin that is devoid of any melanin at all, everyone’s skin has some melanin in it, even if they are very light. This means that if they are interested in making the skin lighter, they can still use bleaching agents to do so, since it only involves reduction of melanin in the skin. The commonly held belief that people with light skin cannot use bleaching agents is wrong; it can be effective even in such cases. On the other hand, people who have very dark skin can also obviously benefit from skin bleaching. The bleaching agent will obviously inhibit melanin synthesis and deposition into the upper layers of the skin resulting in a lighter complexion.

You Can Use Bleaching Agents to Even All Skin Tones

Basically, this means that whatever skin tone you have, you can use melanin to make it more even, thus leading to a more appealing façade and an increase in your self-esteem. A good example of this is when you are light skinned, but have a few dark spots as a result of acne that has already resolved. In these cases, bleaching agents would be excellent at reducing the discoloration within the dark spots, which in turn makes your skin appear light and smooth irrespective of your natural skin tone.

The Importance of Using the Right Bleaching Agents

There are many purported bleaching agents out there which might be effective, but which may end up damaging your skin forever. This is especially so if you have sensitive skin or use products that have dangerous ingredients such as mercury. In order to avoid this, you should always insist on using bleaching agents which have been proven to be safe. This usually means going through the ingredients list to find out if they contain any dangerous chemicals.

In summary, you can use skin bleaching agents for many purposes irrespective of your skin tone. The most important thing to remember is to pick a bleaching agent that has been proven to not only be safe, but effective as well.

When talking about skin bleaching, most people think of products that are used to lighten the entire surface of the skin. Though this is one of the common uses of bleaching agents, it’s also important to know that they can be used to treat other pigmentation disorders as well. Some of the common pigmentation problems that respond well to bleaching include:

Scarring

You can get scars from a variety of reasons including injury and chemical irritation. In such cases, one of the body’s response to the injury is to increase the amount of superficial skin tissue over the wound, and to also deposit a lot more melanin in the area as well. In some cases, this resolves and you end up with an even skin tone, but it is also possible to find that the scars stay in place for long.

In such cases, you can use skin bleaching agents over the scarred areas to reduce the amount of melanin. Depending on the severity of scarring, this could lead to simple reduction in the darkness of the scar, or complete resolution of the scar such that your skin will not show signs of scarring again in future.

Acne

If you have suffered from acne before, one of the results of resolution is that you may end up with regions of discoloration on your face. This is usually a result of the inflammation that causes damage to the skin. Typically, a single episode of inflammation which then resolves should not result in the formation of scars as the skin will heal itself.

In acne, however, this process is repeated many times over, resulting in damage even to the deeper structures of the skin. Once the acne is controlled, you may be left with skin that has unattractive spots which may contain more melanin than the rest of the skin. In this instance, you can use a skin bleaching agent to balance the pigmentation, so that you end up with an even skin tone on your face.

Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation refers to a condition where the skin has regions of over-pigmentation as a result of one’s immune system attacking the skin. This is common in conditions such as autoimmune disorders, or when you use skin care products which you are allergic to. In such cases, a very severe inflammatory reaction could ensue, and leave your skin with dark blotches once it has resolved. Proper skincare and the use of high quality bleaching agents can hasten the process of depigmentation of these areas so that you end up with a more even skin tone.

These are just a few of the many pigmentation problems that can be resolved through the use of a skin bleaching agent. The key issue to consider if you are planning on using one is to pick a product which has been tried and tested, and which has no dangerous chemicals in it as well. These types of bleaching agents tend to have other ingredients which improve the overall health of your skin in addition to reducing the melanin in the affected areas.

Though it’s a rare occurrence, there are some people who have knees and elbows that are darker than what they would prefer. This is a problem that can also affect people who decide to whiten their entire bodies, rather than just the face. In such cases, body parts such as knees, elbows and knuckles can remain conspicuously dark compared to the rest of the body, resulting in an unnatural look. In such circumstances, it would be wise to find a way to bleach the elbows and the knees. However, most people find that standard skin bleaching agents simply don’t work well for elbows and knees.

The Nature of Knee and Elbow Skin

The main reason why some skin bleaching agents may be effective on other areas of the skin apart from knees and elbows is down to the nature of the skin in these areas. Knees and elbows are usually subjected to more friction compared to other parts of the body, and the skin in this area is always under constant tension and compression during movement of a limb. As a result, the skin adapts by having a thick upper layer. This is usually comprised of dead cells containing melanin and keratin. Thickening this part of the skin makes it tougher and able to contend with the forces it is subjected to.

Why Some Skin Bleaching Agents Don't Work on Knees and Elbows

In order to be effective, skin bleaching agents need to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, where they exert their effect. When the upper part of the skin is very thick, it becomes very difficult for them to do so because this part of the skin basically comprises dead tissue, which cannot take up creams and chemicals. As a result, most of it will not be absorbed, and the bleaching process will not proceed as usual.

What's the Solution?

Fortunately, there is a way around this. You need to exfoliate the skin in these areas, thus getting rid of some of the thick skin covering the knees and elbows. This facilitates faster movement of the bleaching agent into the underlying tissue, and also directly reduces the darkening of the skin. There are some skin bleaching agents which are designed for this specific purpose, and it is these that you should be looking for if you are concerned with dark elbows and knees.

The fact that lightening these areas is very tricky means that you have to pay special attention to the instructions for use when using these products. Following the instructions will go a long way in ensuring that the bleaching agent does its job well, and that you end up with knees and elbows that are much lighter than usual.

In summary, it is possible for you to use a bleaching agent for dark elbows and knees. The key to doing so is gently exfoliating the skin surfaces before using the bleaching agents, to make it easier for them to penetrate into the deeper parts of the skin. Alternatively, you can also purchase bleaching agents designed specifically for use on the knees and elbows for much better results.

Skin bleaching creams are gaining popularity in many parts of the world due to the desire to get radiant, fair skin. As is the case with other cosmetic procedures, however, there are a number of things that you might need to do in addition to using the cream so as to maintain this look. Knowing how to handle sunlight is an important one, since skin that has been bleached tends to be more vulnerable to ultraviolet radiation. This does not necessarily mean that you should not be in the sun after using hair removal creams, but you should be careful on preventing damage to your skin from UV rays beforehand.

Why UV Rays Should Be Avoided by People Who Have Bleached Their Skin

One of the roles of melanin is to reduce the amount of melanin reaching the deeper parts of the skin. This type of radiation is unwanted because it has been noted that long term exposure results in direct damage to DNA in exposed cells. This has the potential to make the cells become cancerous. This effect can occur in both people who have bleached their skin and those who have not, but the former are usually slightly more at risk.

This is because melanin plays a role in reducing the entry of these rays.  Skin bleaching essentially reduces the amount of melanin in the skin, since it’s the pigment responsible for making it dark as well. By reducing it and then exposing yourself to the sun too much, more ultraviolet rays would enter your body. In addition to causing damage to DNA, this type of radiation also directly causes sunburn, which can be accelerated in people who have bleached skin.

Remedies You Can Try

Given the above, you might be tempted to stay indoors throughout when you bleach your skin. However, there is no reason to not flaunt your skin outside even when it’s sunny. All you need to do is wear some sunscreen on areas of the body that are going to be exposed, and you will be adequately protected. Ideally, the sunscreen should have an SPF rating of 30 or more. One can also cover up and use umbrellas, using the clothing and the umbrella as a shield against the radiation from sunlight.

For the best effect, the sunscreen should be compatible with your skin. For instance, people with oily skin should get a sunscreen that does not block their pores, otherwise they may get breakouts easily.

Reducing Your Exposure Time

Reducing the amount of time you are exposed to the sun can also help. For instance, when sunbathing, you could decide to limit the number of hours you do so before engaging in some other activity such as relaxing indoors out of reach of UV radiation. Having your skin bleached is not a reason to avoid some sunlight when you want to. With these tips, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Remember, the point of skin bleaching is to give your skin a lighter, more even tone. Once done, you can easily flaunt it at the  beach or elsewhere.

Many people assume that the use of bleaching creams is the result of vanity, but this is not always the case. There are many instances where one ends up with a skin tone that they do not desire due to various causes including illness, the use of some types of drugs, too much sun exposure and many more. In such cases, they may simply desire to get back the skin tone they had before. Depending on the reason why the skin tone changed in the first place, this is possible. However, there are various things that you need to keep in mind if you want to regain your original skin tone so that you maximize your results. These include:

Deal with The Cause of The Skin Tone Change

The first thing to do would be to identify the reason your skin tone changed, and then try to correct it if you can. For instance, there are some drugs which are known to change skin tone. If you have to keep taking them, you could ask your physician for alternate medication citing this side effect as unwanted. If the skin tone changed due to a specific illness, it would be wise to first have it treated before you can consider other measures such as using skin lightening creams.

This is important since sometimes, one could start using skin lightening creams and not have any success simply because the cause of the skin discoloration is still present. This would result in wasting a lot of time and money.

Consider A Dermatological Review

If a large portion of the skin is involved, you could consider getting a dermatological review before using any product. This process involves an examination of the skin to determine the nature of discoloration, as well as whether products such as bleaching agents will work or not. Remember, you don’t want to start using bleaching agents for a long time only to find that they may not work if you don’t take other steps.

Choose Your Bleaching Creams Wisely

To change your skin tone back to its original state, your bleaching cream should do this gently while maintaining and even improving the health of the skin. Skintrium products are particularly effective at this. Bleaching creams which work at a moderate speed and which maintain the health of the skin in the process tend to have a far better chance of correcting your skin tone compared to other products.

Remember that in addition to the bleaching cream, you may also use other skincare products such as lotions and soaps. These should also be carefully selected to match the nature of your skin. This avoids complications such as allergic reactions to a new kind of soap which would erase some of the changes you get from the bleaching cream.

Don’t Forget Sunscreen

If you use a skin bleaching agent and then expose your skin to the sun for a long time, it may darken due to the effect of ultraviolet radiation. This would reverse the changes that the bleaching cream may have had. Once you start bleaching, make it a point to use sunscreen on parts of your body that will be exposed to the sun to ameliorate this.

Tens of thousands of men and women out there have dark lips that they would like to make lighter. Dark lips can be the result of many factors including genetics, smoking, the use of certain drugs and even intake of some illicit drugs. One of the challenges of treating any condition on the lips is the fact that the skin there is very thin. In fact, the skin on the lips is the thinnest on the body. This creates the potential for further damage if very aggressive lightening or treatment methods are used. Fortunately, it’s still possible to lighten one’s lips as long as they follow the right protocol. The best way to achieve the best results revolves around the following:

Behavioural Change

If one has dark lips as a result of behaviour such as smoking, the first step to getting lighter lips would be to quit smoking. The physiology of addiction usually makes this difficult to achieve, but the end results are usually well worth it since many other aspects of your health will also be positively affected by this step.

Smoking cigarettes deposits tar on your lips, which darkens them. If you then use a bleaching agent to try and lighten them, it may not work as expected. Remember, most bleaching agents act to reduce melanin production in the skin. In the case of the smoker, dark lips would be primarily the result of tar rather than melanin. This means that the bleaching agent will do its job, but you will notice very little or even no results.

Use A Mild Bleaching Agent

The fact that the skin over the lips is very thin necessitates the use of a mild bleaching product. Anything strong is likely to strip the thin skin and could lead to further complications such as formation of scars depending on the nature of the chemicals in the bleaching agent. Some bleaching agents are even designed specifically for lips.

Buy your bleaching agent from a trusted store. This way, you can ask about the possibility of using the product on your lips if you are not sure, and you will get honest answers. If not, you can be advised on which products to use instead. When you pick the ideal bleaching product, you will end up with pink, supple lips within a short time.

Don’t Forget Lip Balm When Going Out

When you start using the bleaching agent, the reduction of melanin on your lips exposes your skin to UV radiation from the sun. This increases the risk of darkening, which makes further lightening slower and more difficult. Combating this means using lip balm or similar products which hydrate your lips and also have an SPF factor of more than 30 to block UV radiation from reaching your lips.

You can bleach your lips to make them look lighter and even more luscious, provided that issues such as smoking have been stopped. The only thing  to keep in mind is that this is a very sensitive part of the body, so you need to be selective about the products you use on it as described above.

The genital area and perineum are prime focus areas on the body for people who want to bleach their skin. Various factors can lead to the genital area to be much darker compared to the rest of the body, which can be embarrassing for the individual. In some cases, this can be apparent when ladies wear bikinis in which case the darkness of the area will obviously show.

Using bleaching agents to get rid of this problem is one of the most effective ways of handling it. However, the sensitive nature of the perineum and the area around the genitals means that one has to be careful with what they are doing lest they end up creating even bigger problems. Bleaching this area is possible, but only if you follow a few tips including:

Use Skin Bleaches That Are Mild

Majority of skin bleaches contain harmful chemicals purported to lighten the skin by a huge margin, and within a short time. Since the skin around the genitals is thin and sensitive, contact with these chemicals could cause irritation and even chemical scarring which makes the problem even worse. Reversing such damage might be difficult.

The use of bleaches that are designed for sensitive skin is advisable in such cases. In addition to the bleaching agent, some of these contain compounds which soothe and nourish the skin as well, making the skin stay healthy while bleaching it. Always insist on using these types of bleaches for the genital area and even for the rest of your body.

Test Your Sensitivity Before Use

Some peoples’ bodies react to some of the chemicals in a bleaching agent, even if it’s mild. An allergic reaction can manifest in a variety of ways including formation of scars over the area as well as increased itchiness. These are problems that you definitely don’t want around your genital area.

If you have never used a mild bleaching agent before, you can test it by applying a very small amount of it on a discreet part of your body such as over your shoulder. Let it sit for a few minutes, and if your body doesn’t react to it then you can then use it to bleach your genital area with confidence. This step is very important especially for people who are known to have allergies to other things such as eggs, some types of soap and other foods and medications.

Exfoliate the Area

You are advised to exfoliate the area around your genitals around once a week using a very mild body scrub. This gets rid of the dead layer of skin cells in the region, thus rejuvenating the skin. It also makes it easier for the bleach to penetrate into the skin. Avoid overdoing it such as by using very strong scrubs or scrubbing multiple times a day for many days in a row.

With these tips, you can bleach the area around your genitals safely and with minimal risk of side effects. Remember to also wear breathable cotton underwear, preferably if it’s loose and comfortable. When you have gotten the results you want and start wearing bikinis and shorts, apply sunscreen to all exposed areas to prevent accelerated darkening.

One of the common skin problems that many people have is freckles. These are dark spots that usually occur on the face, and which are darker compared to the rest of the skin. Their number tends to vary from a few to quite a significant number of them. It has been postulated that they darken after prolonged exposure to the sun.

The presence of freckles on one’s face can result in self-confidence issues, as they are easily noticeable.  This is why most people who have them try to find ways to get rid of them. There are many expensive remedies touted to be extremely effective, but using a simple skin bleaching agent can work as well without being overly expensive.

How Freckles Form

Freckles can be genetically inherited from one’s parents or other ancestors. They represent clusters of areas on the skin where melanocytes produce an increased amount of melanin, particularly when exposed to sunlight. Most people assume that freckles contain an increased amount of melanocytes, but this is not true. The concentration of melanocytes is even across the skin, only that those found within the freckles are more active in producing melanin.

Despite this, however, individuals with freckles have been found to be more susceptible to skin changes arising from ultraviolet radiation. This is why many of them are usually advised to avoid spending too much time in the sun without proper sunscreen.

The Role of Bleaching Agents

As has been explained, freckles represent areas where melanin production is accelerated compared to the rest of the skin. It therefore makes sense to use products which inhibit this action, which is the domain of bleaching agents. These agents contain chemicals which inhibit some of the enzymes involved in the production of melanin.

After using bleaching agents, the freckles are likely to start reducing in intensity. In some cases, they may disappear entirely, while in others they may fade to a point where they are hardly noticeable. What route they take depends on the type of bleaching agent you use as well as the nature of your freckles.

Other Extra Steps

Even without using bleaching agents, people with freckles have a higher risk of being affected by ultraviolet radiation. Once bleaching agents are used, this risk goes up slightly higher. This means that individuals with freckles should make it a habit to use facial creams which contain sunscreen with an SPF of more than 30 to ensure that they are safe from ultraviolet radiation. This should be done every time they go outside, even if there is heavy cloud cover. In addition to increasing the risk of UV damage, exposure to UV radiation also increases the risk of the freckles reappearing.

In summary, you can use bleaching agents to treat freckles. In fact, it is one of the best methods of doing so, since it directly targets the cause of the freckles directly. Quality of outcome is usually determined through the nature of the bleaching agent used as well as how you follow the instructions of use.

Using a skin bleaching agent for maximum effect is a function of using it properly. Usually, things that seem innocuous at first may turn out to be the reason why you have problems with the skin bleaching agent, even when you buy one from a trusted brand. One of those things that you might not think about is whether to use the bleach after a hot shower or not.

Usually, using the bleach after a hot shower is only natural for many people. They find it easy to include it in their routine in this manner, just before putting on makeup. However, using a bleaching agent after a hot shower is not necessarily a good idea, irrespective of which brand you are using.

The Effect of Hot Showers On The Skin

To understand this, one has to know the physiological changes that occur after having a hot shower or bath. Having a hot shower usually means spending some time having your body exposed to warm or hot water. During this time, your body reacts by increasing blood flow to the surface of the skin in a bid to get rid of the heat. More importantly, the skin pores open up as a result of the presence of moisture and heat on the skin surface.

How This Affects Bleaching

When you bleach your skin after this, you would be applying the bleach to skin that has wide open pores, and also which is more sensitive than usual. A common side effect of this is having a tingling sensation or full-on irritation depending on how sensitive your skin is.

This means that after a short while, you might decide to wash off the bleaching agent before it has had time to penetrate the skin, since it would be uncomfortable. Doing this on multiple occasions might result in a drastically slowed down bleaching process, and in some cases it might not occur at all. Most bleaching agents have this instruction on their labels.

The Alternative Way of Doing It

Rather than taking a hot bath before applying the shampoo, you should aim to do so when your skin has not been exposed to the hot or warm water. This could be a few minutes or hours before taking a shower. Some people prefer to use the bleach after showering, since they will have gotten time to get the grime off their faces to make it easier for the bleaching agent to penetrate the skin.

This is legitimate, but you would need to wait for some time before using the bleaching agent rather than doing it immediately. This gives your skin time to cool and to go back to its baseline physiological state. Giving your skin an hour or two after having a hot shower can be used as a rough guideline for this. It might seem like such a mundane issue, but it is one that is important. Having a hot shower and then immediately can cause problems for you, and should therefore be avoided.

When you are pregnant, you have to be careful about the medication that you come into contact with, since this will not affect you but the baby as well. One category of cosmetics that you should particularly be careful with is skin lightening products. There are many skin bleaching agents out there, and many pregnant women might consider using some of them. This is because during pregnancy, the hormonal changes usually induce darkening of the face that they might want to correct.

To ensure that you and your baby are safe, you should always be keen on which items you choose for skin lightening.

Ingredients You Should Avoid

When it comes to skin lightening products, there are some ingredients in these products that you should avoid. Unfortunately, they are very common among many skin bleaches, which means that you need to pay attention to them. Hydroquinone is ubiquitous in skin lightening creams. Though it has not been tested on humans, it has been shown to increase the rates of stillbirth and birth defects in animals such as birds and rats.

Many skin whitening products also contain steroids which have the potential to result in the formation of a small placenta, a higher risk of low birth weight and also reduces cortisol which is important during gestation.

Does This Mean That You Can’t Use Skin Lightening Products When Pregnant?

Given the advice above, there are many parties which discourage the use of bleaching agents during any stage of pregnancy. However, the truth is that you can still use skin lightening products even if you are pregnant without posing a risk to you and your baby. This involves being more careful in the selection and use of the skin bleaching agents.

The main issue is to make sure that you buy a product which does not contain the dangerous chemicals named above. The fact that a huge number of brands use steroids and hydroquinone may make this sound difficult, but it is possible to find a product which doesn’t contain them and which still works.

An example of this is Skintrium products, which do not contain any of the above but which is still very effective at treating melasma and other skin discoloration disorders.

If You Are Not Very Confident…

Pregnancy is a delicate thing, and being unsure about many things about it is normal. If you are not very confident about using an excellent product such as Skintrium despite it not having the chemicals that might pose a threat to your pregnancy, you could get third party help in sorting this out. Consulting your obstetrician is usually the best route. They can go through the ingredients list, and chances are that they will tell you that the product is safe to use.

Therefore, one can say that it is possible to use skin bleaching agents even if you are pregnant. However, you would need to be much more careful than usual, so that you don’t end up regretting the move later on. Corroborating this with your obstetrician should give you even more confidence.

When attempting skin bleaching, different people have different views regarding their expectations. Some may only want to use the skin bleaching solutions to get rid of minor scars, and others may need the skin bleaching in a more radical way. One of these is to completely change the color of their whole body with the aim of making the new skin tone look more natural. This avoid situations where one’s face is very light, and the rest of their body is very dark because they did not bleach it.

The obvious question in such settings is whether skin bleaching can be used on all areas of the body with dark skin. Of course, there are parts of the body that may be hard to reach, and others with very sensitive skin. Making sure that all these are bleached so that one can end up with an even, light skin tone can sometimes be tricky.

The Problem with Sensitive Parts of The Body

When you are looking to lighten your entire body, you will definitely need to think about some of the sensitive parts of your body. These typically include parts of the body with thin skin or close to vital organs. These include the lips, the perineal region and around the genitals. Using skin lightening products which have very strong ingredients on these parts of the body will lead to problems such as scarring, contractures and pain. When dealing with these parts of the body, it would be wise to make use of skin lightening creams which contain ingredients suitable for sensitive skin types. You may need to pay attention to the ingredients of any bleaching products before you actually buy them in order to verify this.

Consider the Cause of The Dark Areas

When using a bleaching agent to bleach your entire body, not all the dark areas will have been caused by the same thing, which means that they may not react in the same way when you use the bleaching agent on them. For instance, very deep scars on your knees may need more time to be lightened compared to more superficially dark areas.

In some cases, extra treatment may need to be carried out before using the bleaching agent. For instance, you might need to use a body scrub to remove the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin on some dark areas so that the bleaching agent can easily penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin.

Timing Issues

When bleaching all the dark areas of your body, the fact that they may not be caused by the same factor means that they may respond to the treatment at different rates. Dark areas resulting from deep scars may take longer to get lighter compared to others. You should expect this when you start using them.

In summary, you can use skin bleaching on all dark areas of the body. However, you have to pay special considerations to some parts of your body particularly areas with sensitive or very thin skin, in which case you will need to use a bleaching agent that is very gentle to avoid damage to the skin.

The storage of skin bleaching agents seems like a trivial issue, but it is one that you should definitely be keen on. The fact that you are likely to use skin bleaching agents for weeks means that they will be in contact with your body for a significant amount of time. It would be a shame to go through the trouble of doing so and then seeing no results simply because you did not store them properly.

Typically, skin bleaching agents come with instructions for storage and use. However, there are some basic principles you can use for storing them just in case they don’t. Some of these include:

Keep Them at Ideal Temperature Ranges

Bleaching agents should be stored between around 59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. This is cool enough to ensure that the chemical nature of the bleaching agent is not affected. Exposing most chemical products to a lot of heat usually starts and accelerates chemical reactions within the product, which means that it may change to a nature that is not useful. In the worst-case scenario, the resulting chemicals may harm your skin, and this may make you think that the product does not work.

Achieving such storage temperatures usually means finding a cool region such as your medicine cabinet, and keeping the bleach away from sunlight.

Make Sure the Labeling Is There

When storing bleaching agents, it’s important to ensure that the label on the container with the bleach is present. This is important if you have many cosmetic products, some of which are in containers that look similar to the one your bleaching agent is in. proper identification of the container’s contents reduces accidental use of the bleaching agent for the wrong reason.

Storing Multiple Bleaches by Expiry Date

In a few cases, an individual may find themselves having more than one bleaching agent, even if it’s from the same company. In these cases, it may be wise to note the expiry date for each of the bleaching agents, and then store them in such a manner that you will use and finish the one that has an earlier expiration date first. This limits the risk of ending up with expired products.

Scenarios where you might need to buy more than one jar of skin bleaching cream include when you intend to use it for your whole body, and when more than one person is likely to use it.

The other storage tips are fairly common, and include keeping them away from the reach of children and pets, as well as ensuring that they are not exposed to too much moisture. If storing them in the bathroom, ensure that the cabinet does not admit too much moisture before doing so to prevent exposure to too much water. You could consider storing the bleach in a safe wardrobe in your bedroom if the bathroom is not suitable enough.

Properly storing your skin bleaching agent will make it perform as expected throughout its life. It also reduces the risk of accidents such as ingestion by young children.

There are some conditions such as acne which resolve in such a manner that leaves the affected area darker than the rest of the body. An example of this is when the acne affects one’s forehead more than the rest of the face. During resolution, the forehead might be left darker than the rest of the face. Sorting this out requires one to make wise decisions, particularly if they plan to use skin lightening creams to achieve their goals. However, there is a risk that the forehead may then become much lighter than the rest of the face. To ensure that the final skin tone is even, there are some tips you can try out including:

Using A Mild, Tried and Tested Bleaching Cream

Your choice of bleaching cream plays a huge role in determining how light the lightening will be. People who use homemade bleaching agents or those with very powerful chemicals in them usually notice very quick lightening. In such a scenario, it’s easier to end up having a forehead that is shades lighter than the rest of your face.

You should therefore be more interested in quality and moderation when choosing the type of skin lightener you want. Always go for those which are mild, since they will give you some control regarding how light or dark the skin will be.

Following Instructions of Use Is Critical

Not following the instructions of use can result in problems with differing skin tones. For instance, some individuals may be impatient, and end up using the bleaching cream a lot more frequently than advised. In such cases, this might result in excessive inhibition of melanin production, and the skin may become far too light. This is in addition to other side effects that might arise as a result of exposing the skin to too much of the bleaching agent.

Some bleaching agents require mixing before use. in such cases, ensure that you mix the different chemicals in the right proportion so that you end up with a mixture that will have a predictable lightening effect.

Don’t Be Impatient

When using a high-quality skin lightening agent which has gradual onset of action, one may become impatient and try different ways to speed up the process. However, keep in mind that having a controlled whitening rate is critical to ensuring that you end up with a skin tone that is just right. Rather than taking steps such as mixing it with other bleaching creams or using too much of it, simply keep using the bleaching agent as advised and note the gradual whitening. This way, it will get to the point where the lightening will be perfect enough to make your facial skin tone even.

It’s very easy for anyone to become disappointed when trying to make their forehead skin tone match the rest of their face using bleaching creams. By doing the above, you can reduce the risk of this happening dramatically. Consult your beautician, the bleaching agent vendor and even your doctor for more tips on getting accurate results.

A common problem for many people bleaching skin is the need to have an even skin tone over their entire bodies. When you focus on one part of your body such as your face, you may end up having body parts with skin tones that are very different from each other. For purposes of self-esteem and other reasons, you might want to do the skin bleaching over your whole body rather than just focussing on one area.

Reasons for Bleaching the Whole Body

In addition to the reason stated above, whole body bleaching can also be desirable when one has a few other dark spots or scars on their bodies. In these cases, the rationale used would be to ensure that the entire body has a lighter, even skin tone. This is a legitimate desire, but making sure that it happens requires more careful planning compared to only bleaching a small part of the body.

Use Mild Bleaching Agents

When you want to even the skin tone on your whole body, you would rather go for bleaching agents with mild ingredients, and which work at a moderate pace. Remember that some parts of your body are more sensitive than others. Rather than getting an aggressive bleaching cream for some parts of your body and a mild one for others, it would be much easier to get a mild one for your entire body.

When purchasing the creams, you would need to buy supplies designed for whole body use. These tend to come in large volumes, since you would need to use more of the product to cover your whole body. If not, you can also consider buying regular skin bleaching creams but in greater numbers. The goal is to ensure that you have enough stock to last you for some time, so that you don’t have to keep going back to the store for more. You can use this opportunity to buy the skin bleaching agents at wholesale prices, or to take advantage of bulk purchase discounts if available.

You May Need Help

If you intend to try whole body skin lightening, you will definitely need some help in getting it done. This is for the simple reason that some parts of your body may be unreachable. By the time you are putting the plan together, you should be clear on how you will get around this problem. Some people simply visit a dermatologist on a regular basis, where the skin lightening is done by a professional. Others depend on trusted friends and family for this help. The fact that some of these products need application only once a week or so means that you won’t have to worry about it too much.

Remember That In A Few Cases, Having A Completely Even Tone Is Difficult

It is possible to bleach your entire body in order to make it lighter, and to get an even tone. However, you should also keep in mind that there are some factors that can influence this. Having very deep scars, for instance, can reduce the chances of getting the same tone throughout. Discolorations that affect multiple layers of the skin may only be lightened, but not gotten rid of completely.

For years, mercury’s effect on dark spots and dark skin have been well known by many. It is an effective skin lightener, and has also been noted to be excellent at getting rid of spots. However, this comes at a huge cost. Mercury used over a long time (as most skin lightening creams are) results in a host of side effects which can be difficult to treat and affect major organs.

This is why the use of mercury in beauty products in many parts of the world is banned. In the United States, the allowed limit of mercury in beauty products is one part per million. However, Skintrium products do not contain any mercury despite this allowance. This is as a result of focussing on giving customers the best experience with little or no side effects.

The Damage That Mercury Can Do

Mercury found in skin care products can have many effects when used over a long time. The main adverse effect is kidney damage. With time, the mercury is assimilated into the blood. As the body tries to get rid of it via the kidneys, the metal accumulates and deranges the functions of the kidney. This results in kidney failure.

When one is continuously exposed to mercury for even longer or when higher doses are administered, the kidney damage becomes progressively worse, and it could get to the point where an individual would need dialysis or a kidney transplant because of total, irreversible kidney failure.

Other common problems associated with mercury-containing skincare products include unwanted discoloration, rashes and formation of scars. The skin’s ability to resist infection is also reduced, so one would be prone to more frequent bacterial and fungal infections getting to the body through the skin. When mercury reaches the blood and is transported to the brain, if often leads to psychosis, anxiety, depression and other nervous system disorders.

The Shortcomings of Regulation

As has been explained, the federal government caps the amount of mercury in skincare products to one part per million. However, there are many products in the market which contain mercury levels that far exceed this by even 20 or 30 times. Some may even claim to contain no mercury. The relevant agencies do a lot of work to intercept these products, but a few tend to pass through their dragnets and enter the cosmetics market in the US.

For this reason, it’s advisable to buy skin bleaching agents from firms that are trusted, and which use chemicals that are not only effective but also do little harm.

Why Skintrium Is Your Best Choice

By buying Skintrium, you are guaranteed of avoiding all the problems associated with mercury as well as other dangerous chemicals. The manufacturing standards and quality control for these products are extremely stringent, and third parties are also frequently involved in assessment of the products to get rid of bias.

As a result, you can trust that Skintrium products will have absolutely no mercury in them, and that they will still work as expected.

Many factors affect the suitability of using skin bleaching agents among different populations. It is important to be cognizant of these factors to avoid scenarios where one uses a bleaching agent when they are not supposed to due to their age. This is something that many people don’t consider when planning on bleaching agent use, but which could have important ramifications later in life.

Why Age Matters

One’s age is important in determining whether they should use skin lightening products or not because of the nature of their skin. As one grows older, there are some changes that occur in the skin in terms of physiology. For instance, young individuals tend to have skin which is very sensitive to pH. Most bleaching agents might have a pH that is too high. Exposing their skin to such bleaching agents only sets the stage for disaster, such as an increased risk of further damage to the skin.

Young people also have skin that is still developing. The younger the individual, the more changes are occurring under the surface. Some of the things that might be happening include formation of different types of tissues and organs including sebaceous glands. Some skin lightening agents can interrupt this process, and lead to long term damage to the skin. This is particularly so if one uses skin lightening products with harsh chemicals.

Very young individuals also have very sensitive skin. An example of this is a child is only a few months or years old. In these cases, their skin can react to many things, including mild soaps. Exposing them to bleaching agents which might contain some harsh chemicals would be guaranteed to cause a problem later on.

The Ideal Age for Skin Whitening

Most beauty professionals advocate that one should start using skin lightening products at the age of between 18 and 20. At this age, the skin is mature, and no new organs or processes are occurring in it. Such individuals are also old enough to be responsible, which is a factor that can influence the success of the skin bleaching process.

In addition to the chronological age of the individual, one also has to take into account other factors such as their puberty cycle. If puberty results in the formation of too much acne in the early teens, it would not be wise to use bleaching agents unless under medical supervision. This is because it is expected that after puberty, the skin problem might resolve and they could end up with flawless skin.

What If You’re Unsure?

Sometimes, you may be unsure about when to start using bleaching agents for your child. For instance, they may have deep scars that would greatly benefit from bleaching agents, but are young. Consulting a doctor or the individual selling you the bleaching agent would be a good way to get reliable information regarding whether to go ahead or not. The latter only works if you consult a reliable vendor. In some cases, a dermatologist can give you the go-ahead to use bleaching agents on a younger child, and also give you tips on how to use and monitor it to prevent side effects.

Using bleaching agents is usually very easy, particularly if you invest in a high-quality product and if you are careful. However, there are times when things can go wrong. An example of this is the bleaching agent comes into contact with your eyes. It is important to know how to deal with this when it happens, so that you don’t end up panicking which could result in more harm than good.

How Bleaching Agents Can Affect Your Eyes

Bleaching agents contain several chemicals, including enzymes which reduce the production of melatonin, as well as chemicals which facilitate entry of the medication through the skin. This may be in combination of a wide array of binders and other chemicals depending on the brand you use.

Some of these agents have the effect of causing corneal irritation when they come into contact with the eye. This results in irritation of the skin, which is why it causes so much pain. In addition to that, some of the chemicals may outright damage the tissues within the eye. It is rare for one to lose sight on account of having a little skin bleach entering your eye, but there are circumstances where this can happen. This includes when you use bleaching agents which have very strong chemicals, and have a lot of the chemical in your eye.

Steps You Should Take When It Happens

Once the bleaching agent is in your eye, you would need to do the following:

Flush your eyes: Get some clean lukewarm water, and run it over the affected eye for at least 20 minutes. This is usually easy when the water comes from a tap, since you only need to put your eye in the stream of the flowing water. Having lukewarm running water running over your eyes might sound painful, but it usually isn’t. it’s important that this process be started as soon as possible so that the bleach can be removed before it causes damage. You don’t need to use your hands to do this; you can wash them with soap and water after you’ve flushed your eyes.Remove your contacts: If you usually wear contact lenses, they typically come out when you flush your eyes. If this has not happened, you will need to remove them.Get medical advice: Most of the time, flushing your eyes with clean water is enough to get rid of the bleaching agent and reduce the symptoms. However, if you still have severe pain, the next best step would be to seek emergency medical attention as soon as possible.

Preventing This from Occurring

Using the bleaching agent as advised is a good way to avoid some of it getting into your eye. When applying the bleach in areas around the eye, doing it in front of a mirror and using a finger is a good idea to avoid some of it straying into your eye. If you happen to use a runny bleaching agent, you can reduce the risk of it flowing into your eye by applying only small quantities above your eyes.

There is a considerable number of women out there who have unwanted facial hair. This is quite normal, especially if the hair is minimal. After menopause, the amount of facial hair increases, which can present a problem for many women.

When trying to sort out the problem either after menopause or before, the two methods they might consider include waxing and bleaching. Although bleaching is not a hair removal method, it can be used to hide the presence of facial hair, particularly if it’s minimal. It can be the ideal way to deal with the problem in such cases. Some of the reasons for this include:

It's Not as Painful as Some Hair Removal Methods

In a bid to ensure that they don’t have to deal with the issue again, there are some women who try to remove the hair permanently. This usually involves having to use laser hair removal. Temporary methods of management include shaving, which is the most common. They can also try waxing and tweezing.

Hair removal methods such as laser removal, tweezing and waxing are painful, and many would not want to go through such pain. This is particularly so when using laser hair removal, where the process hurts and would need several sessions to be complete. Using a bleaching agent is a much easier proposition, and usually does not involve any pain. You can use the method to camouflage the presence of any facial hair particularly if it’s not very long.

It Can Be Expensive to Use Some Hair Removal Methods

Permanent hair removal methods are expensive, and out of reach for many individuals. Laser hair removal is a perfect example of this. Rather than going through with it, you could choose to bleach the facial hair, so that it’s barely noticeable. If you are bent on a permanent hair removal method, you can still use bleaching as a means of hiding the facial hair as you save up for the laser therapy.

Waxing facial hair can also be expensive, depending on where you get it done. Facial hair is usually treated specially compared to hair on other parts of the body due to the fact that the face has sensitive skin. You will therefore spend more on it.

No Need to Worry About Ingrown Hairs

Shaving facial hair is associated with a number of potential complications including ingrown hairs. These occur as a result of the sharp edges of the cut hair shaft grow in such a manner that they end up digging into the skin while curling. Remember that when shaving, the sharp edge of the blade tends to make a clean, angular cut on each hair. This makes it have a sharp edge. Though more prevalent after shaving, ingrown hairs can also occur after waxing as well.

Ingrown hairs can bring with them a multitude of problems including boils. They also tend to be very uncomfortable and could make your skin look bumpy. Rather than dealing with this, you could choose to have the hair bleached. In terms of preventing ingrown hairs, bleaching is superior to waxing.

In summary, bleaching facial hair is an excellent way to hide it, particularly if it’s not so long. You can use it when other methods of hair removal such as waxing are inaccessible to you, as well as when you are saving money for more permanent hair removal methods. Either way, using a bleaching agent from a respectable firm is important for you to achieve the best results possible.

Bleaching agents typically work by reducing the amount of melanin in tissue. Melanin is the biological compound which gives skin, eyes and hair their color. There are many ways of interacting with melanin in order to reduce its concentration in these tissues, resulting in a lighter shade.

If you use a skin bleaching cream for your skin, it might end up in your eyebrows or hair during the process. How this will affect you in the long run depends on the nature of the bleaching agent you are using as well as the quantity in the hair and the amount of time it was left to stay there. A few bleaches contain compounds which may also change the color of hair or eyebrows, making them lighter.

Steps to Take When This Happens

Some skin bleaches are designed such that they will not have much of an effect when applied on hair. However, just to be sure, you should aim to get rid of the bleaching agent from hair as soon as you notice it there. This gives it less time to impart its chemical effects on the hair, leading to a color change (if the bleaching agent is capable of this).

Once in contact with your hair, you should wash it off with lukewarm water to remove the bleach. Doing this as soon as possible will ensure that the skin bleach will not have any time to start reacting with the keratin and melanin in your hair.

Use A Bleaching Agent with A Balanced Chemical Profile

The bleaching agents that are most prone to causing problems when they come into contact with hair are those which contain very strong chemicals. The other side effect they have is a high risk of damage to your skin. Avoid this by getting well-balanced and dermatologically proven bleaching agents. These usually comprise chemicals which are mild, but work effectively at making your skin light while keeping it soft and supple as well.

These types of bleaching agents are less prone to quickly interacting with hair and causing discoloration or other problems, making them safer in this regard as well. Consider investing in them for all around satisfaction.

In Case of Discoloration…

If it turns out that the bleaching agent discolored your hair or eyebrows, there are various ways to solve the issue once you have washed your hair or face. Getting a dye and then dyeing the affected part tends to be a good idea in most cases. However, this only works if you get a hair dye in a color which exactly matches your hair color.

Depending on the location at which the discoloration occurred one can also have their hair done in such a manner that this part is hidden.

Fortunately, problems of hair and eyebrow discoloration are temporary, since both will grow and the discolored part will eventually disappear. Holding your hair back well and being careful when applying the cream on your face are ways of reducing the risk of any discoloration.

What's the difference between fair skin and flawless skin?

“Fair” skin is pale skin. It contains less melanin than darker skin. People whose ancestors come from places on the earth where the sunlight is weaker, such as northern Europe, tend to have fair skin.

Our creams and moisturizers will be creamy and thick, while soufflé is creamy and fluffy. These products are deeply hydrating, best for drier skin types.

Gels and gelees are translucent or transparent, and are ideal for skin that’s neither dry nor oily. They keep skin moist, but are light on the skin.

Our serums provide light hydration, without any cream or oil. They are pH balanced to leave skin feeling supple and comfortable, not dried out. We especially recommend serums for people whose skin is oily or prone to break out. They're also amazing when used under moisturizers.

How can I get the lightest results, fastest?

1. Start with the most intensive products.

Fair & Flawless® collection formulas contain more active lightening ingredients, and Esthetic Blends the most.

2. Use products in combination.

Our cleansers and toners not only include lightening agents, but also complexes that open the skin to the treatments that follow. Our Collection Kits can set you on the right path.

3. Be diligent.

Do your routines twice a day, as advised.

4. Support your efforts with healthy living.

Good food, ample rest, and a cheerful life will help you get the gorgeous skin you dream of.

Can I stop when I get to the color I want?

Corrective skin care is a commitment —just like coloring your hair. Skin is alive, and it will constantly try to reset to its natural color if you don’t maintain your regimen.

How long is it safe to use your products?

Forever! This is truly healthy, restorative care. Our natural ingredients deeply nurture your skin.  You may want to switch from the more intensive lightening of Fair & Flawless® to the gentler maintenance level of Skin Soho® at some point…or you may not. Either way, rest assured these are highly tested, richly nutritive products that will enhance your skin for years and years of use.

Can I combine hydroquinone-based products with Fair & Flawless®?

No. And if you're using hydroquinone products, please stop. They're dangerous and in many countries, banned. Our collection of researched, proven, and customer-delighting products work even better, and without the danger.  Learn more about why you should avoid hydroquinone.

Will I look unnaturally pale?

No. You'll have a lovely, healthy, even-toned complexion that looks completely natural to you. Only you will know you weren't born with it.

Will I tan if I go in the sun after using Fair & Flawless® or Skin Soho® products?

You will. The sun will always stimulate melanin production. So slather on sun protection, wear a hat, and stay in the shade to keep your complexion as fair as you like it.

If I use the spot removers, will I end up with lighter spots on my skin?

No. Your skin will naturally balance itself, and you’ll end up with vibrant, fresh, creamy skin that has an even all over tone.

Can I use Skintrium™ products under my arms or in other sensitive areas?

Absolutely. It would look odd otherwise. Apply your favorite Skintrium product under your arm pit and then use deodorant or other product right over it. You can apply Skintrium™ products in other sensitive areas like the thighs and buttocks as well.

How long will the product last?

This will of course depend. In general, a container is designed for about 2-3 months of daily application as advised.

Can men use these products?

Men can and do. And not just men, but some of the most rugged and manly men in the world: we ship to quite a large list of soldiers as well as civilians.

Why do I need different facial and body products?

The skin of your face is more delicate - and yet, ironically, gets more abuse - than your body skin. While your body is likely to be protected from sun and wind and cold most of the time, your face never gets a vacation. Products for face are therefore generally richer and more protective, while body products are designed to slide over large areas easily.

You can of course use any Skintrium™ product on any part of your skin safely, but you’ll get the best results by using facial products on the face and body products from neck to toes.

Who can benefit from Skintrium™’s products?

Everyone age 12 and up. Men, women and teens from every place around the world, with any skin tone:

Indian, Asian, Latino, African, Caucasian, Inuit...it doesn't matter. We all share the same melanin, and skin that can always benefit from botanical nourishment.

That said, Skintrium™ has been developed especially to meet the needs and desires of people with browner tones, from light honey to rich chocolate color. As a group, people of color have:

  • More melanin, resulting in a darker and warmer skin tone
  • More natural protection from sun
  • Fewer visible signs of aging, such as deep wrinkles, fine lines and sun spots
  • A greater tendency to uneven darkening or lightening of skin
  • Greater risk of raised scars

The majority of our products are specifically for people who wish for a dramatically lighter skin tone than they were born with. A few are truly targeted to those whose skin has been damaged or deeply tanned with sun, and who want to undo the spotting and drying of sun damage.
